This Croatian brand is making shoes with a soul 👟 Similar to fashion, footwear is a toxic industry. Shoes are made of plastics and fabrics. At the end of their life, they are hard to recycle. So they end up in landfills. And take 30-40 years to decompose. Croatian brand Earthbound™ is changing that. Formerly known as MIRET, it makes sustainable footwear. 👟 It is the only sneakers in the world to hold the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX label for the product, certifying that it contains zero toxic substances. 👟 It is made from New Zealand wool, natural rubber latex & hemp. 👟 97% of its materials are natural and bio-based and it is planning to replace the remaining 3% soon. Founded in the late 1900s, the Portuguese company has built a reputation for #quality children’s footwear. But in recent years, Savana Shoe Factory has broadened its horizons to include a new range of products #exported to the world’s most demanding markets. The focus on the New.ve brand, designed, created and produced in Portugal, results from more than three decades of experience. “We have taken on the responsibility of being part of the change in the world’s behaviour towards our future and a more #sustainable and #CircularIndustry”. “#Freedom, #equality, #innovation, the #CircularEconomy and more sustainable #fashion are part of the brand’s and our company’s values”, says the company’s commercial director.
