For the proper functioning, longevity, and safety of industrial equipment and machinery, Machinery maintenance is very important aspect. It involves a set of activities and processes designed to keep machines in good working condition, prevent breakdowns, and minimize downtime. Proper maintenance practices can also contribute to improved efficiency, reduced operational costs, and increased overall productivity. I do remember back in days when my supervisor insisted to take records of each and every equipment so as we can have a perfect PM with right time, breakdowns were attended right on time. Proudly junior engineer I learnt practically, among the best core of Facility/Property management which resulted to good performance of our team. Now, we have to understand and reminding ourselves that by implementing a comprehensive machinery maintenance program, organizations can maximize the lifespan of their equipment, reduce the likelihood of unexpected failures, and optimize operational performance.
