August Home Maintenance: A hot-weather month makes an excellent time for deep cleaning inside your home to freshen up for fall.

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO DONATE to my office’s summer food drive to benefit @voaww food banks. Donate at bit.ly/2024SummerFoodDrive or you can swing by my office to drop off donations. We are passionate about working towards alleviating hunger in our communities, and this food drive is in tandem with our annual Community Service Day back in June. We spent that day working with the Snohomish Garden Club in their veggie garden, which will yield thousands of pounds of fresh produce for local food banks.

Despite the summer weather taking people out of town and enjoying a break, the market has continued to stabilize. After rapid price growth and tight inventory in the first half of the year, prices have stabilized and are well above where we were last year at this time. Selection has grown for buyers and interest rates have recently fallen by .5% over the last few weeks. Buyers who are out in the marketplace right now have some great opportunities and sellers are enjoying great returns as equity levels across our region are high.
