Octane OC's Launchpad and SoCal Startup Day were both instrumental for me, Rick Pinkerman, and NOTICENINJA. Both organizations helped us when Notice Ninja was just a thought on paper. Octane drilled the pitch into us, and really tore us apart, for the better. We ended up hiring Shaun Sanders, J.D. to design our deck and write our talk track. Who knew the pitch world was so competitive! Even though it was just a few years ago, it seems like eons ago. Our pitch deck has evolved tremendously since that first day pitching to Octane in 2019. During our time in Morgan Stanley's Inclusive Venture Lab in 2022 I spent weeks preparing to pitch to Carla Harris, who refined our message even more. I am thrilled to be returning to the Hangar today to take part in SoCal Startup Day's first Pitch Competition since 2020. They may have a new name, but the location is the same, and the energy is building. This is where we met George Kenney and Robert Kramarz, advisors who dove us into a 16 week Investor Pitch Bootcamp lead by George. I learned all about liquidation preferences, geez, watch out for those! There are roughly 35 companies taking part in the pitch competition today, if you are in the Orange County area and would like to attend, the first pitch round begins at 4:15 pm. It was around this time last year when we officially hard launched bndle 🚀 I remember working relentlessly with our incredible team at SixBerries Ltd to build our MVP 🏗️ Setting a tight, three-month deadline to build the entire platform from scratch was ambitious, but they rose to the challenge, and I couldn't have been happier. Thank you all so much! Personalisation and AI have always been at the core of our DNA framework. When we launched our MVP, we chose to start with a simplified version of these aspects to validate our concept before diving into more advanced tech features 💡 I remember those early strategy sessions with the team, planning how to roll out features. In the past six months, our platform has come alive Right now, I'm heading into another meeting with our team to discuss our roadmap and schedule for the next set of tech and AI features It's the beginning of yet another exciting chapter! I often reflect on the moments that defined our journey in building bndle. This week, we debuted The 2.0 Collective to Austin - our newest 2.0 hub. We kicked off Tuesday's Future of Work track with our talk: Soulmate or Situationship - Career Advancement in Startups. We did things differently, like we always do. Instead of a traditional lecture, we did a workshop (that we forewarned might trigger an existential crisis but in a good way lol). And instead of a traditional panel, we flipped it into the audience coming up to ask the Collective questions and rotating out to give others a chance to share their experiences. Over 200 people signed up but not all made it in. It turns out that people have been raving about it even days later and it has spread like wildfire. So much so, 3 people approached our COO Garrett in the bathroom at last night's event asking to be on the list for the next ... which then had everyone in the unisex stalls come out and go "wait, what is this?! add me too!" We had no clue how much we connected with y'all. And we're so grateful. So, we need your help getting to all of the people that couldn't find us. There are so many ambitious humans out there who deserve to be heard and be deliberate with their careers.
