Celebrated IWD 2024 at the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) as a invited speaker representing MAWiD together with Puan Rahima Ibrahim, Director, MIM and Puan Siti Suryati Kama Asnawi, SPHRi. The panel session was moderated by Ms Stella Jacobs , GM, MIM. Some of the key points i shared were: 1. to Inspire Inclusion, we need to start with "I" . - I must be inspired first - I develop the right mindset and skillset - work on KASH 2. Be resilient - Develop support system especially family support 3. Advocate women's empowerment 4. Join suitable associations to gain learning and growth opportunities - Shared about the 100 Go Digital Program by MDEC & MAWiD Secretary MAWiD in 2023 that reached out to about 300 women in 4 locations - I also shared how the bookwriting workshop by Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers , MAPS inspired many wannabe authors like me. Thank you Bavani Periasamy for your mentorship ( and patience). 5. Make a commitment to mentor 5 women this year- they could be 5 new interns, 5 undergraduates or 5 new business owners eg stall owners in your neighbourhood, etc, etc..the ripple effect will take us closer to this year's theme achievement- #inspireinclusion To all my friends reading this, will you inspire inclusion? ADRIAN NUGRAHA ATHAILLAH FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL SCIENCES, INFORMATION SCIENCE STUDY PROGRAM UPN VETERAN JAKARTA During the first mentoring activity entitled "First Meet," we were mentored by Zahrani. We felt very enthusiastic and excited to start our journey at UPN Veteran Jakarta. This first meeting was a chance to get to know the new students in Group 9 Patribera 2024 better. Not only with our fellow members, we also got to know our mentor, Zahrani. One of the important moments in the meeting was when the mentor explained some of the tasks that we had to complete. The first task was to post a twibbon on Instagram. The twibbon was designed to support the upcoming event, PKKMB Patribera 2024. The mentor explained that we needed to upload the twibbon on our Instagram profile with a predetermined caption so that the message of the twibbon could be spread widely. The second task was to create a group Instagram account. By creating an Instagram together, we were able to create a space for creative collaboration and increased engagement of group members. Through this platform, each member can share ideas, content and information related to the project at hand. The third task was to create a creative video themed "Ekspedisi Bela Negara." This task trained us to develop our creativity and technical skills in video production. The video-making process also taught us the importance of teamwork, time management, and effective communication skills. All these skills are very useful not only in academic activities, but also in daily life and future careers. There were several more tasks given by the Patribera 2024 committee members. Although we were given many tasks, we still felt enthusiastic and motivated to complete them. Each task given is not only challenging but also provides an opportunity for us to learn new things and hone our skills. Our enthusiasm came not only from the desire to complete the tasks, but also from the sense of community and the spirit of brotherhood that existed during this activity. All of this made the Patribera 2024 experience very memorable and meaningful for us.
