Day 2 of URISA_International LEAP conference brought some of the best topics, especially the importance of data interoperability with CAD Systems. Great discussion about one of my burning questions... will CAD vendor software align with NENA NG9-1-1 standards? How will that impact GIS workflows and data maintenance? How will that influence operational change management from a telecommunicator perspective? Important conversations for a future that is approaching quicker than you think!
URISA's virtual LEAP conference continues today with important education at a great value! https://lnkd.in/ghUk5qsk Brooks Shannon, ENP Eric Shreve

Looking forward to representing OLM - Our Lady of Mercy School at the AMISA 2024 Congress! Workshop title: Connecting and Integrating STEAM Across Disciplines: Electronic Circuits Using Conductive Playdoh The proposal for the workshop is to teach participants about electronic circuits, conductor and insulator materials, and electronic components using conductive playdough, LEDs, and batteries. Learning Objective 1: Participants will make connections between the exploration of different school subjects and technology, and how they can develop valuable opportunities to connect maker culture in the teaching of pedagogical content. Learning Objective 2: Participants will execute a practical activity involving concepts of electricity and conductive materials. Learning Objective 3: Participants will make their circuits, which they can readily replicate back in their schools with students.

An excellent symposium that I had the opportunity to attend. In my opinion, there is a big misconception about contracting and law: that they should be what they have always been with all their complexities. I have learned that contracting can definitely be proactive and innovative, touching cross-disciplinary fields ranging from mindset to technology, and concerning both academia and practice. Proactive contracting is "the" way to establish smooth yet professional and effective relationships. An event rich in sharing, thank you Sally Guyer for the organization, thanks to all the speakers and all the participants who shared their valuable knowledge with us. Thank you Hannele Korhonen for sharing about the event. More to come hopefully 🌟 #legaldesign
This week we saw an immersive two days of hard-hitting debates and real-life case studies at our Academic Symposium with participants coming together from over 50 countries! 🌍🌎🌏 Our phenomenal marathon of panels uncovered a lot of very interesting areas for further intervention and research while the enthusiasm we seen is gives us the energy to continuing tackling the challenges we face. Thank you to all who participated, our academic partners, and of course our steering committee. With over 600 registrations, the passion amongst our community of practitioners and academics was clear to see! 🙌
