Just attended a webinar by SMG on Mastering Retail Media with Boots Media Group: The Fundamentals. As someone who is interested in #buildingbrands and understanding the ever-evolving #customerjourney, this was an insightful session moderated by Samuel Knights where I deduced that #hospitality and #retailmedia are not far apart. Both show a high level of customer centricity, both are built on managing relationships, and both leverage #creativity in leveraging #data towards actionable insights towards #brandsuccess. Matt Atlay's point, "Progress is better than perfection, so there's no need to wait for all tickboxes to be checked before proceeding", was a key take-away for me, as it is something I relate to after working in dynamic environments while trying to stay ahead of the curve. Another point shared by Ollie Shayer, "Understand how you can apply principles from online practices in stores", shows that #innovation is always at work in this field - which is why I find myself gravitating towards it! It was great to listen to the other notable speakers: Victoria Keenan & Rosie Houston as well!
