Market Strategy | "API For US GTM" | Focused on corporate narrative and aligning messaging across brand, GTM, and product

Couldn't be more proud of Jeff Gomez. He's held an unshakeable vision of helping people change the world for the better with story. He checks off his own boxes on his list: ✅ Imagination on a grand scale ✅ A crystallization of vision ✅ An understanding of function ✅ Passionate pursuit ✅ A reach beyond what is possible ✅ The ability to bend reality through the assertion of will ✅ An innate understanding of systemic narrative and he DID go for it --- and never surrenders!

In post-Bolsonaro Brazil, much has to be done to reenergize that nation's economy and refocus on socially and environmentally progressive issues. I was called by Anna Maria Botelho B Carrapito to provide the closing keynote at the Rio+Agro 2024 Conference in Rio de Janeiro. There I addressed over a thousand environmentalists, government officials, and agricultural leaders about the power of storytelling to unite populations in the face of seemingly overwhelming challenges. I found my way into the conversation by focusing on some of history's most potent contributors toward sustainable and renewable agro endeavors. Apparently its been a cultural rarity to celebrate such figures, so the talk went over quite well. They even printed a 3D Ultraman mask to greet me! A video of the talk can be found in the link below, but one of my main points is that what each of us needs today are the following traits that those heroes, who made turning points in the history of Brazil, themselves possessed. Imagination on a grand scale - having the daring to see beyond what most believed to be the limits of what is possible. A crystallization of vision - the ability to know exactly what it is that you want to have happen and what must be created. An understanding of function - knowing how things work as a basis for innovating new ways to get things done. Passionate pursuit - being almost obsessed and driven to accomplishment, not fearing but embracing work, taking big risks (some of their lives were endangered in their pursuit). A reach beyond what is possible - when you don't care whether something is possible, you can accomplish the improbable at the very least. The ability to bend reality through the assertion of will - at this point you can fearlessly ask for what you want and get it, because informed leaders are still rare in the world...and they are needed. An innate understanding of systemic narrative - when you see the big picture, know how things are interconnected, and can reconcile the conflict points with clear, passionate communication, you can accomplish what others believed to be impossible. Go for it — and never surrender! https://lnkd.in/eqi_NkXg #Brazil #transmedia #geopolitics #environment #agriculture #storytelling

What a wonderful post, Alan, thank you! Even if I am all those things you listed, I still have no idea how you put those little checkmarks next to my list!
