👏🏼 We'd like to congratulate our Employee of the Month! 🎉 This is a great opportunity for an employee to be recognised for their hard work & dedication. 🤔 But, there are pros and cons to this recognition. On one hand, it can be a great motivator for employees to strive for excellence in their work. It also gives employees a sense of pride and accomplishment, and encourages them to continue to work hard. 🤨 On the other hand, it can create an atmosphere of competition that may lead to feelings of resentment and jealousy among employees. Some may also feel that they are not being recognized for their contributions and will be less motivated to perform well. 🤝 At the end of the day, it's important to ensure that all employees are recognized for their achievements. Celebrating employees of the month can be a great way to boost morale and recognise individual excellence. As we approach our 13th anniversary, I have always believed that both as a business and as individuals, we shouldn't continue actions solely for the sake of tradition, nor should we shy away from maintaining effective practices. However, I'm also of the opinion that if something is working well, there's no need to completely overhaul it. Last month, we dedicated time to re-evaluate our values. At Wagstaff Recruitment & Careers Coaching, these values must extend beyond mere words; they must carry significance and purpose as they define our actions. Our fearless leaders, Ed and Carly have allowed three new board members (dream team Allen and Anne) to risk implementing ideas to build a long-term engaged member community at NIHRA. At our cores, humans are relational beings. Yet as adults, we get so used to the routine of daily work, family, and school circles that we stop building real relationships (guilty as charged). If we aren't careful, we lose sight of the beautiful value we can give to others, and they can give to us, in simply being known. NIHRA's focus is to take the responsibility to build and maintain a community of engagement and appreciation of people's intrinsic value. Hefty goal. Worthy goal. Last night, the chance to offer this event successfully showed that goal is becoming a slow and sure reality. JH Specialty rocked making attendees feel comfortable and relaxed with a bingo game - naturally building connections for members. Fort Wayne Electric Works's atmosphere and catering helped make our members feel cared for while networking.
