Meet my 93 yo Brazilian grandma. She celebrated her last birthday in Las Vegas at Cirque du Soleil x Michael Jackson. She’s full of life, enthusiasm, groundedness. 3 things I see in her youthfulness: 1. There’s no time for complaints 2. Make the most out of your life’s situations 3. Stay curious My grandma and I are only reconnecting this year. I grew up in Switzerland and it took me a few decades to finally realize one thing… I had to get fluent in Portuguese in order to unlock deeper conversations with her! Today, I see so much of myself in her ways - even traits I thought I was the odd one in our family to display 🤷♀️ so I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree? But there’s much more I can learn here… Because for the first time ever, I feel comfortable to say I have a role model 🌟 it’s this 93 yo rockstar full of positivity and strength. I’m blessed to call her grandma!
I love this so much. There’s nothing better than spending time with family - and especially the older generation. So much wisdom and life experience to learn from. Your grandmother looks like an incredibly elegant (and youthful! Can’t believe she’s 93!) woman, and I really love the lessons that you shared. And clearly the positivity, strength and desire to make an impact in the world runs in the family!
