A walk along the beach today - feeling calm and quietly excited for the launch report from the pilot programme Menopause Goals - Celebrating the Second Half.( analysed by Glasgow Uni Christopher Hand and team) . No better day to launch this on International Women’s Day 👌 This report clearly demonstrates that an ‘Individualised approach’ to reduce Menopause Symptoms is possible. This is evidence based and backed by science. Yes it can be scaled and that is the most exciting bit 👌 Amongst all of the social media conversations regarding medicalisation v natural menopause- this work focuses on women centred care and meets women exactly where they are - taking HRT or not. Menopause symptoms are the issue for women - seeing the significant improvement in symptoms from week 1-12 for every woman in this pilot brings everyone involved joy . We have initiated phase 3 clinical studies for the treatment of vasomotor symptoms (VMS) associated with menopause in Japanese women. This significant milestone brings us closer to providing a novel treatment option for over 6 million women in Japan. The phase 3 clinical studies follow the successful completion of the phase 2b study in 2022, with primary results recently presented at the Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Menopause and Women's Health.
