Pursuing My Dreams From Fragrance to London and Paris Have you ever had a dream that's so vivid, so tantalizing, that it keeps you up at night? Well, I certainly have, and it's a dream that's taken me on an incredible journey over the past 8 years. Today, I want to share with you my dream to work and explore my talent in the captivating cities of Paris and London. My journey began 8 years ago when I stepped into the world of work, armed with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Little did I know that this would be the first chapter in a story filled with passion, determination, and boundless curiosity. Early on, I discovered my passion for the fragrance and beauty industries. For 7 years, I've been fortunate enough to immerse myself in these vibrant worlds. The beauty industry, in particular, has always held a special place in my heart. It's where I've seen not only products but also confidence and self-expression blossom. While pursuing my career, I also managed to excel academically. Making it onto the Dean's List was a proud moment for me, showcasing my dedication to both learning and the beauty industry. One significant milestone in my career was achieving remarkable results at Victoria's Secret. This experience not only deepened my understanding of the beauty industry but also fueled my desire to continue making a difference. Now, I find myself at a thrilling juncture, where I'm striving to bring value to the iconic brand, Guerlain. It's a challenge I take wholeheartedly, as it's an opportunity to further hone my skills and contribute to a brand I deeply admire. But beyond the products and the business, what truly excites me is the people. I have an innate love for meeting new faces, hearing their stories, and forging meaningful connections. It's the people who make the beauty industry truly beautiful. As part of my journey, I'm in the process of learning the enchanting French language. This isn't just a language course; it's a gateway to understanding and immersing myself in the rich culture of France. I firmly believe that learning never stops. My thirst for knowledge is unquenchable, and I'm committed to constant self-improvement. The journey to Paris and London is also a journey of personal growth. But this isn't just about career aspirations. It's about a deep-rooted desire to learn from the diverse and vibrant cultures of both French and British people. I'm willing to migrate and settle down in these cities, not just as a visitor, but as someone who truly wants to be part of the fabric of these societies. For me, the world is an amazing place, and I'm not content with staying in one place. It's a diverse, dynamic, and endlessly fascinating planet, and I'm eager to explore every corner of it.

🎓 Bachelor of Science HES-SO in Tourism Four years, four years of fascinating experiences, since I moved to Valais to complete my internship at HES-SO Valais-Wallis in the International Mobility Office. This marked the beginning of three enriching years of study at the School of Management in the Tourism program. During these years, I discovered the captivating world of management and business development. I had the opportunity to immerse myself abroad at Breda University of Applied Sciences. This experience profoundly impacted my studies and my life, an unparalleled and unforgettable adventure. To conclude these years, I wrote my research paper titled: "A Framework for Leveraging Positive Social Media Buzz and Sustaining Customer Engagement in the Restaurant Industry". When trying to link the concepts to my familiar areas, the correlation between the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries also becomes undeniably apparent in retail and customer experience. Just as patients seek comfort and efficacy in medications, beauty enthusiasts crave an experience that transcends the product. My journey now harmonizes these worlds, emphasizing the importance of customer-centric approaches in both spheres. 🌱 Growth Through Learning: At first, I hesitated to join the course as it didn't seem aligned with my science background. However, after completing it, I realized the importance of connecting acquired skills with my background, emphasizing the need to apply these skills in my future career to complement my existing knowledge and foster a mindset of continuous improvement. Embarking on this educational voyage with LVMH has not only broadened my knowledge but has also elevated my adaptability. Feeling lost about which direction to take in your career? Taking up a placement or internship at any age can be a great way to gain hands-on experience and get out of your head during the decision making process. Despite having graduated years ago with a degree in Sport Science, as a now 31 year old, this is exactly what I did! I recently completed a 3 month stint as a Sport Scientist with the Limes Schlossklinik Fürstenhof. This fantastic opportunity let me dive in headfirst into a full time roll as a trainer, applying sport science principles to lead one-on-one and group sessions. Working alongside other health professionals, I gained insights into psychosomatic treatments from a great team of practitioners, exploring various methods such as yoga, art therapy, meditative therapy, and of course, sport therapy. Thank you to Limes Schlossklinik Fürstenhof for this fantastic opportunity! 🙌 Why did I choose to complete a placement over just jumping straight into a job search? Here are a few reasons: | New to the job market in Germany As a newbie to the country, I lacked local industry experience. This meant not just learning the language (though my German is fairly decent), but also mastering the 'Fachsprache' (professional terminology) so I didn't always explain things like a 5-year-old. Even though this is sometimes easier to understand. hoppla! | Unsure if this career path was my cup of tea More action = more data to make better decisions. Having little 'feel' for what I wanted to do, I questioned if health and fitness was my true calling or if a new direction might be the answer. | Generally lacking confidence During my time at the clinic, I learned to trust myself. I have the education, the experience, and my own flavour to add. In any profession, is important to adopt the mindset of a professional. Equally important, however, it is to maintain the curiosity of a beginner. This placement help me learn to balance these perspectives. So, if you're at a crossroads, consider a placement or internship. You never know - it might be the perfect stepping stone to your next adventure! 🚀

What it took to find my path to Marketing… Growing up, I’ve always been drawn to creativity – art, photography, music, you name it. I pursued art and photography during my GCSEs and continued with A-levels in art, photography, and psychology. Despite my love for these subjects, something didn't quite click. I dropped art due to unforeseen circumstances, LOVED psychology, but felt restricted by the way photography was taught. For me, art is about freedom and self-expression, not rigid structure. Then covid hit. I finished my first year with an AS in Psychology (B) and Photography (C), but I realised this wasn't the right path for me. I pivoted to Travel and Tourism, which resonated with me deeply. A decision that, despite initial difficulties (main one being the pandemic), turned out to be the right one. The course covered everything I loved: travel, psychology, and creativity. This course built my confidence and pushed me out of my comfort zone, ending with an Level 3 extended diploma in Travel and Tourism, and two NCFE Level 2 qualifications in Cabin Crew and Resort Rep. Encouraged by my success, I thought pursuing a degree was the next step. I moved to Sheffield for an International Tourism Management degree. While I loved the city and the people, the degree took a toll on my mental health. I realised I couldn’t sacrifice my well-being. I moved back home, explored new interests, and even became a qualified nail technician. Yet, I discovered my passion lay more in content creation than nail artistry. I paused to rethink my career while working, feeling unfulfilled and knowing I was meant for more. I researched my options and discovered the Open University, where I'm now pursuing a degree in Business Management and Marketing. However, one thing OU lacks, which I might have gained more from doing an apprenticeship, is the practical experience. This realisation led me to volunteer with the Norwich Puppet Theatre's social media team to gain hands-on skills. So here I am, sharing my journey on LinkedIn. Not everyone's path is straightforward. Join me on the Eclectic approach Training program provided by ICHARS - Institute of Clinical Hypnosis And Related Sciences for therapists and aspiring psychologists like myself. In the first training program, I learnt that a therapist is responsible for guiding the clients in navigating their journey from point A to B. Often, clients find themselves in uncomfortable situations and are unsure of how to proceed. Therapists must facilitate their progress towards achieving their goals, such as going to the gym or making positive life changes. ✨️Therapy involves delving into intricate layers of an individual's psyche. We must consider factors like personal beliefs that might hinder progress. Clients may grapple with questions like, "What will people say?" or "Am I good enough?" These doubts and fears can be significant roadblocks. ✨️To be effective therapists must: 1. Assess where the client currently stands and where they aspire to be. 2. identify behaviours that need modification. 3. Uncover the underlying mechanisms driving the client's thoughts and emotions. 4. Address intense negative emotions and past experiences that may reinforce limiting beliefs. 5. Acknowledge and address any depressive feelings that might be influencing behaviour. 🤝By understanding the complex interplay of these elements, therapists can help clients embrace positive change while respecting their individual beliefs. It's about bridging the gap between where they are and where they want to be, one step at a time.
