As a female founder, I find the PitchBook article on VC funding disparities really frustrating. In 2023, start-ups founded solely by women got just 2% of total VC funding in the US—clearly showing the ongoing biases we face. It's disappointing to see funding for female-only start-ups decline for two years straight, while mixed-founder teams get more support. This gap is visible across different industries, limiting opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Isn't it time to change this? To fix this, I think we need investors to undergo bias training and set up funds specifically for female founders. Mentorship programs and tracking funding metrics by gender can also help promote fairness and transparency. These steps can make the start-up world more equitable for everyone. What do you think?
