Last week, Liston Abramson LLP client, Veritaseum, successfully defended its patent on cryptocurrency-related technology at the PTAB from an attack by Coinbase. The PTAB denied institution of Coinbase's petition for IPR. The inter partes review (IPR) process, where a party asks the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to invalidate a patent based on prior art, is a vital part of patent litigation strategy, for both plaintiffs and defendants. Liston Abramson LLP has extensive experience and success in the IPR process.
