The book “Story of a t-shirt” we co-wrote with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations FAO is now available to download for free! The protagonist is called “Celestina”. A special t-shirt that, having woken up in a landfill, where it had been thrown away because of a small hole in the fabric, must find its way back home to its parents. To help Celestina in her quest, the children retrace the path that Celestina followed before being discarded, thus discovering all the steps of the supply chain and resources needed to make a t-shirt. The book is contains a series of activities and games that adults and children can do together to facilitate the creative recovery and reuse of damaged clothes. The activities will be launched as physical experiences in October 2024 on the occasion of World Food Day and will be brought to schools, stores and companies by WRÅD's education team. #Challengethestatusquo

Ever thought about where your clothes come from? FAO and Matteo Ward have teamed up to create a super fun activity book for kids, teaching them (and us!) about the importance of valuing what we wear just as much as what we eat 💚 Meet Celestina, a special t-shirt that, having woken up in a landfill where it had been thrown away because of a small hole in the fabric, must find its way back home to its parents. To help Celestina in her quest, the children retrace the path that Celestina followed before being discarded, thus discovering all the steps of the supply chain and resources needed to make a t-shirt. 👕 Are you ready to join Celestina on her journey?
