scale's podcast, "Underdogs in Africa" is officially live and streaming on Youtube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Well done to the team.
The intention of launching Underdogs, is (1) I am one, and (2) to create visibility for the Founders, Fintechs, Thought Leaders, Impact drivers that are doing phenomenal work on the continent. Unraveling use cases, highlight problem areas that need focus, suggesting new ways of doing old things, understanding evolving technology, highlighting risk, asking for support.. Sometimes, it's just a different perspective.
Unless we're utilising PR/marketing budgets (which startups do not have and probably should not use IMO..), to gain significant traction online and in the right media publications within the industry, often a lot of these stories go untold and we struggle to reach the key stakeholders that can support the growth of these businesses.
We're lifting our founders, our talent, our newcomers, our respected OG's, industry leaders, and taking it to the world - and we also need and want to continue learning and developing as a startup ourselves!! So please, we need the gems dropped in pods, so we can pick up and build world class, global, payment businesses!!
The guests we have lined up, are significant contributors to our industry, and wider economy in some critical form or another. The businesses they're building, organisations they represent, work they dedicate themselves to, are driving major payment and technology shifts on the continent.
We really do want to be on the forefront of how these stories are told and how we use the insights, learnings and perspectives, to foster collaboration & partnership within the African ecosystem, to build fertile ground in which Fintechs can flourish. Please show us your support, give it a listen, #like, #share and #subscribe.
