Chioma and Erisco Food's story... I have followed this story keenly and was initially on Chioma's side. You see, she was right to review Erisco’s product as a customer, but saying it was poisonous and had too much sugar was crossing the line and I will explain. The product she bought had sugar as one of the active ingredients, written boldly on it. Why the complaint then? Second, her diction of "poisonous" was erroneous, especially as she can't produce any victims. She was tasting the product for the first time and had never heard of any one it hurt or killed. This is somebody's business for God's sake and you know how people react to such allegations. She de-marketed the product and social media has a very wide reach and people NEVER forget! Even those who have not tried the product would be afraid of doing so, because they heard "poisonous". For social media visibility and validation, many people say and do a lot without realising the implications. Eric Umeofia is an Entrepreneur. I am one too and it is a miracle for any business to survive in this our dear Country. We all know that, because of so many odds. To add an insensitive comment to the situation can be another thing entirely. What Chioma needed to have done when this became an issue was to apologise as her post made Eric Umeofia lose a credit line. Why is she insisting on being right and why did she not even consider calling customer service to share her observation instead of rushing to social media? 🤔 NB: Anyway, I hope the aggrieved man will find a place in his heart to forgive her and let go, then strategize on how to go about the damage control.

Halfway to understanding where you want your money story to go and be is accurately describing the past and problems with it.

The New Wave of Nigeria's Soft Power (Part 2) The past couple of months have been a period of growth for me. I have learnt three important lessons fron this digital issues. 1. Think Fast: This is very important for problem solving. You haveto think on your feet sometimes and act fast when things don't go as plan. This would help you have a seamless delivery. 2. Take the NO with your full chest. When we were reaching out to A-list celebreities for this issues, we got a lot of NOs from them months after a hard chase. That could have broken anyone but I have learnt to accept people's NOs and move on with my head up high, regardless of how it made me feel. 3. I am more. People who really watch me close see a TV presenter in me, but me. But in the process of this digital edition, I handle Podcast production- recording, cutting, finishing, et al. Guess what, I really built confidence and skill in a space of 6 months. You can be anything you choose to be if you set you heart on it.
