Finally finishing the cavitation experimental measurements and the last day belonged to the super-cavitation. Using the see-through pipes allows us to see the transition from the super-cavitation to the bubble cloud and then the cavitation collapses far from the inception location in the Venturi tube. The pipes were mounted with 7 static pressure sensors, 3 dynamic pressure sensors, 3 radial and 1 axial accelerometers and acoustic emission sensors. During all the measurements the high frame-rate camera was present to obtain dynamics from the image analysis.   Now all that remains is to analyse the data... #cavitation #VUT

Did you know? Senmatic has supplied temperature sensors for the SAIC Anji Sincerty, the world's largest dual-fuel powered Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) ship. The ship can accommodate up to 7,600 cars and other vehicles. To fit these vehicles, substantial space is required. The ship measures 200 meters in length, 38 meters in width, 40 meters in height, and has 13 decks. The ship can sail on both marine diesel and LNG, which helps reduce CO2 emissions from maritime transport. The ship reaches a top speed of 19 knots.
