Take every chance you can to learn from people you respect.
Yesterday I got to interview Dennis Pilarinos, Lynsey Thornton, and David Hariri about how they've found product-market fit and grown great product teams. Beforehand I pondered: What should I ask? These folks have way more than 45 minutes of lessons learned and useful tactics they could share.
So I took the path of asking them what I wanted to know. Under the framing of a story – from founding a product, finding PMF, to scaling up a team – I asked them things I myself am curious about when it comes to building and growing products. I learned a lot, and the audience seemed to dig it too.
I think it worked a lot better than if I'd just stuck to the questions I was "supposed to" ask.
Thanks to them for joining me, and the INNOVATEwest team for inviting me to put this together in the first place. ⭐️
