  📢📢📢 New partnership with the Feminist Leadership Hub📢📢📢    ☀️We are very proud to announce our new partnership with FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders and One Future Collective to provide our grantees access to their Feminist leadership Hub. It is a virtual, community-driven, peer learning platform centred around Feminist Leadership. In this space civil society practitioners can share and access resources, exchange experiences and ideas, and connect with peers in their region or working on similar topics. With this partnership, we aim to strenghten the capacity and sustainability of our grantee partners. ❓Why did we chose the Feminist Leadership Hub❓ ✔️Feminist leadership encompasses the whole spectrum of organisational development. ✔️Feminist leadership promotes more collaborative and caring work environment, aligned with our values. ✔️The platform is a self-led space, where everyone can contribute and learn equally. ✔️It facilitates building connections and networks with other civil society across Europe and the world. ✔️ FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders and One Future Collective have extensive experience in feminist leadership We are piloting this partnership for an initial year. In today's Emerging Women Leaders in Global Health event we talked about how to be a stellar mentee and part of that is finding the win-win. Some participants questioned what they, as emerging leaders, can bring to a mentorship relationship. Emerging leaders have SO much to offer .... new perspectives, ideas, insights, and of course, new networks! Tell me what you think in the replies, "What do emerging women leaders have to offer perspective mentors?"

The conclusion of the Hispanic Leadership Summit held at the United Nations brought to me the repeating mantra... “Wake up. You have been asleep for too long” Throughout my last 30 years living in the US as a Mexican, my culture, identity, and family were the most significant sources of resiliency and power. Now, we are experiencing a confluence of societal phenomena that is creating the perfect alignment to use these as a propelling force for all. ✨ Latin@s are an economic powerhouse with $3.2 Trillion in GDP. ✨ Latin@s are “de moda”. It is now fashionable to embrace our Latinidad (gone are the days when we had to hide the fact that we spoke Spanish). ✨ Latin@s are set to wield tremendous power as the majority of our people are in their contributing prime. We need a catalyst to transform all this potential into actualized action, and it is you, me, and all of us: ✔ Our Beliefs ✔ Our Engagement ✔ Our Conversation But above all, the certainty about a future that is possible, one where we collaborate and understand that everyone is needed to build prosperity I dreamt earlier this year about going to the United Nations to do good, I didn’t imagine that I would be there as a partner of We Are All Human Foundation , enabling SafeSpace Plus ™ and providing the tools and framework so that everyone can contribute their full potential. MAD//FEST - I have a question and/or suggestion? 💥 Would you consider a more “junior” host, interviewer or representative next year? The reason I ask: 1. Today on the Female Leaders' Club stage there was a great talk about Changing Mindsets: how diversity of thinking and curiosity drive positive change and creativity. After Ellie Edwards-Scott shared a statistic about the high percentage of women not reaching a Leadership Role, a question was asked to the panelist’s, about how do they retain ‘mid-level’ women in the industry to a Leadership Role. Like the rest of the talk, they responded fantastically, but I do think there was a conversation missed about inspiring junior women, and showing them how to become a leader. 2. Then I started to reflect on all the talks I attended and noticed that all job roles were represented across all stages, apart from the more ‘junior’ roles… yet the future of the industry, the innovation of tomorrow was discussed, but we didn’t see who they are? And what the ‘future’ are thinking. What do you think Harry Clark and Ian Houghton? Did I miss this representation? And/or is there a reason behind this? #madfest #future #fortunefavourthebold

More often these days, we are seeing more examples of female leadership. We are no longer few and far between. However, there is a painful reality which we must vigorously discuss with a view for change. Female leadership takes heart and courage. It is not a linear process for us. Though we keep finding solutions to wicked problems and we place people, passion and purpose at the center, we cannot survive without the support from our fellow females. It takes females supporting female leadership for female leaders to thrive. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us be reminded that it is not about female supremacy and female liberation but rather advocating and prioritizing female collaboration, female support and female empowerment. We are not each other’s competition but rather each other’s reinforcement. We are stronger together. Happy International Women’s Day!

Today I facilitated a group of authentic femine leaders from around the world and as always I have some key take aways. We always learn from each other. 1. Communication - tell people what you need and don't expect them to guess. My colleague years ago said "Robyn, I haven't finished my Diploma in Mind Reading, so can you tell me what you need". (thanks Kaye) 2. Leaders don't know everything so have the courage to ask for help. Asking for help is a gift to the other person. 3. If you see discrimination, don't be silent. The more we can talk about it, the more we can support each other and make positive change. 4. Trust in yourself. I am so pleased to be involved with the Inspired Women Lead program.
