🇪🇪🇸🇬 The third leg of our visit is to Estonia, one of the world’s most digitally advanced countries. It has a thriving tech ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of startups per capita (~1900). We met with President Alar Karis and Prime Minister Kaja Kallas yesterday, as a member of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s delegation. Singapore has a warm relationship with Estonia, and trade between our countries is growing. 📈 Our companies also have a growing interest in Estonia. In June last year, Enterprise Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Enterprise Estonia during PM Kallas’ visit to Singapore. The MOU deepens our collaboration in agri-tech, future mobility and renewable energy, and connects our start-ups. We also met an enterprising group of Singaporeans working, studying and living in Tallinn, on President Karis’ kind invitation. Some are working in Estonian companies like Wise, global companies like KPMG, in startups or are setting up local businesses.
