Career and Growth trajectory has really changed compared to the time of Gen Ys. The Gen Zs has enough resources and access to build careers which could make them a global leader in the shortest time possible, so long they have a good record of results and growth. This could possibly have taken Gen Ys, a couple of years to build working in one organisation for years or working in different organisations. So It is okay to say, an Intern could become your boss, and being nice to them does not make you any less of yourself. In the end, don't be rigid, be given to growth too and ensure you encourage innovation and creativity, you would be glad you made some intentional investment as a boss to an Intern, when eventually the Intern becomes a boss of his/her own.

Not only that , but recognizing and respecting the contributions of interns not only fosters a positive work culture but also nurtures an atmosphere where everyone can thrive and produce excellent results. Interns bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table. By valuing their input, we not only enrich their learning experience but also enhance the overall creativity and dynamism within the team. A perfect working environment that embraces collaboration and respects the unique contributions of each member is the key to unlocking outstanding results.✨ One other important key note is : A supervisor plays a crucial role in fostering an intern's success by providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth. When a supervisor supports a #superstarsteam intern who later becomes successful, it reflects positively on their leadership, mentoring skills, and ability to identify and nurture talent. It can enhance the supervisor's reputation and contribute to a positive organizational culture. 🚨 Unpaid Advertisement Alert! Imagine sporting your 🙂 finest suit (and killer best tie) with everything running ahead of 🕗 schedule en route to an engagement with a new campus executive team. The 🦜 birds were SINGING! Until I attempted to pull the Jeep out of the garage. I had a flat in my back tire. This bird 🖕🏼was singing... I didn't have time to throw on the spare (and didn't want to get by pretty suit dirty), so I used my air compressor to inflate the tire and 💨 BEE Lined to my people at Discount Tire. ➜ No appointment, which typically means, no bueno. Not today! They could sense that there was a campus 50 minutes away that NEEDED some 💜 love and that I needed to be there on time. Seriously, with all of the 🤪 crazy people that retail folks must deal with, the compassion and hustle that they mustered up to pull that 🔩 SCREW out of my tire was simply remarkable. By the way... It’s spring and I’m looking for new professional opportunities. A friend and mentor of mine once said, "If you're not having fun at work, you're not at a job you were supposed to be at.” I was 24 and it was my first “real” job. I was very eager to come across as serious, grown-up and professional. At the time, that advice was like a riddle to me. It took me at least a decade to truly understand what "having fun at work" could mean. "To have fun at work” came to mean feeling enthusiastic about the long-term strategies and results, as well as the daily tasks and processes. To welcome black swans and turmoil with curiosity and bravery. To celebrate triumphs, enjoy colleagues, and community. To always learn, to experience and respect other peoples’ views and opinions, even if not shared. That led to growth and to the development of myself and others. That is what fun at work is to me, and that is what I am looking for. My profile speaks for itself and I would be delighted to elaborate on any of the roles, tasks and achievements described there (as well as the challenges not described). Here’s some things that I've enjoyed when I've also had fun at work. In no particular order: ·     involved in management teams as a consultant, or advisor on brand development and marketing communications issues ·     driving processes and projects that lead to business and brand value growth ·     putting together and coaching and developing teams/individuals (often in a society where business is built on quite different principles and values than in Sweden) ·     developing positioning/repositioning/rebranding strategies for brands, businesses and destinations ·     launching new concepts in hospitality and retail, both online and brick and mortar ·     managing multiple stakeholders ·     creating events; leading creative MarCom projects: from creating a brief, to idea, concept, to delivery of a campaign for all media As a person, I am told to come across as authentic, brave, knowledgeable, experienced, responsible and loyal. I truly love people, and that seems to be reciprocal. I am drawn to brands and projects with a clear purpose, and a goal beyond money-making. I am seeking a greater context to be part of. Now presenting Georgia Nze, M.S., our Game Presentation Manager! 🏟️ Q: Tell us a little bit about what you do at the Chargers. A: I support the ideation, planning, and execution of our live game presentation elements. This includes managing our Stage Managers and Game Presentation Ambassadors, collaborating with our Partnerships team to bring sponsored assets to fruition, and overall troubleshooting on game days to ensure we create a home field advantage for our team and an entertaining show for all attendees. Q: How did you get started? A: I thought I wanted to be a lawyer initially, but while in college at UC Davis, getting my bachelors in philosophy, I interned with the Athletics Marketing Department which introduced me to game presentation. After I graduated, I interned with the Sacramento Kings in marketing, and went on to intern with the Minnesota Vikings and Chargers in game presentation, while completing my Masters in Sport Management. Basically, I kept interning until the right full-time opportunity came up. Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job? A: Creating impactful memories for fans and seeing new elements of our show come to life. Q: Any advice for those trying to get a job in sports? A: Get as much experience as you can, even if that means volunteering or shadowing, to figure out what sector of sports you are passionate about. Put your best foot forward in all that you do; the end product matters but so does the process and your effort. Network as much as possible even when it’s uncomfortable, for introverted people like me, and try your best to maintain and be active in the network of industry colleagues you develop. #workinsports #gamepresentation
