Amazing what you get from DALL-E sometimes. In order to illustrate the argument in Progressive Universal Insurance Co. v. Lonsdale before the Illinois Appellate Court, Fifth District, I asked for a "picture of an Illinois trial court staying an insurance coverage case because of the allegations of the underlying tort case under the Peppers doctrine." Apparently, DALL-E is not familiar with Illinois coverage law. In Lonsdale, the court will consider whether the circuit court abused its discretion in staying the coverage case pending the outcome of the underlying tort case because there is a ultimate issue in the coverage case that could collaterally estop the parties in the underlying tort case. An interesting appellate issue too: there is no transcript of the hearing on the motion to stay.
