According to WWF (World Wildlife Fund), poaching and habitat loss are some of the reasons for the declining population of the white rhinos which is now classified as "near threatened" with around 18,000 population. Various efforts were made to increase the number of white rhinos. One way is the use of IVF (in vitro fertilization). According to savetherhino.org, on September 11, 2019, experts from the Avantea facility in Italy revealed that two Northern white rhino embryos have been successfully produced. With only two female northern white rhinos left, this is a big step forward for the subspecies. All embryos are now stored in liquid nitrogen. Esco Medical offers a line of animal IVF equipment that can help in the preservation of endangered animals like white rhinos. #FeatureFriday this week addresses what happens when your note is formatted incorrectly! Though our system often records with "auto-detect," if appointments are too short, it may format it under "summary" rather than your preferred "appointment." This video shows you how to fix that! 🤩 *NOTE* If you want it to record automatically as a summary, callback or appointment, simply select from the "Recording Type" drop-down BEFORE recording. Happy Scribing! 💜 #scribenote #vetmed #aiinvetmed #technology #vetlife #vetstudent #veterinarymedicine

Therefore, post-op monitoring of animal body temperature is recommended to ensure proper recovery and improve the reproducibility of pre-clinical studies. There are several 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 to prevent post-op hypotermia to be used on a laboratory bench: recirculating water blankets, heat lamps, heating pads. 🕷️💡 Welcome to 'Did You Know', fellow arachnophiles! Tarantulas, like all arachnids, molt their exoskeleton as part of their growth process. This fascinating process, also known as ecdysis, involves shedding their old skin to reveal a fresh, new, and larger exoskeleton underneath. 🕸️ This molting process isn't just about growing bigger, it also allows tarantulas to regenerate lost limbs and heal injuries. After molting, a tarantula may appear vibrant and larger, as it's sporting a new, pristine exoskeleton. During this period, tarantulas are particularly vulnerable and need a stress-free environment, as their new skin is soft and takes time to harden. Stay tuned with #DidYouKnow for more intriguing insights into the animal kingdom! #TarantulaFacts #ArachnidTrivia #PetFacts #MoltingProcess

Do Fish Feel Pain? A fish's world is more complex than we think. We often attribute human traits to these aquatic creatures, including the ability to feel pain. But here's a surprising fact: fish lack pain receptors, making them incapable of experiencing pain as we know it. So, next time you see a fish, remember, their reality is different from ours, yet equally fascinating. Share your thoughts on this topic by reposting this video and comment "fish" below if you want to avail 25% off on all Dr. Tim's products! #FishPainDebate #AnimalPhysiology #DrTimsProducts
