It is a true privilege to have the opportunity to work closely with Fletcher Living's sustainability and design team on the ground-breaking ‘LowCO’ pilot project at Waiata Shores that is paving the way for a more sustainable future. We're proud to contribute our expertise in low carbon concrete and paving solutions. This partnership is setting the stage for low carbon, low energy, low water homes that showcase the power of whole of lifecycle thinking and innovative low carbon products. One highlight of our involvement: crafting low carbon concrete for the slab on the terraces, featuring an impressive EC34* rated low carbon concrete where starting with EcoSure, NZ's lowest carbon GP cement in the concrete mix, the carbon was further reduced by the use of "fly-ash" as a supplementary binding material. This slab emitted 1.3t tonnes less CO2 than a standard mix design and required around 2.3t tonnes less cement. Our commitment extends beyond structures, as our permeable paving graces the landscaping, harmonizing sustainability and functionality.
