A quick scroll... or a rabbit hole. Ever find yourself picking up your phone for a quick scroll through social media, only to realise you've lost an hour of your life? It's so easy to go down that dark rabbit hole, isn't it? 🤯 We all know time is valuable, so being mindful of what we consume is key. I've been spending time curating my feeds to include content that inspires and educates, so when I do find myself stuck on a scroll, I'm consuming content that adds value to my day. That's it...! Initially, I was taken aback because I hadn't been asked this before, but since I had it, the shock was fleeting. I simply sent him a link to my social proof, and within 30 seconds, he said, I'm in...! It was an even bigger surprise than before, but it made me realize the incredible power of 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟. The simplest hack to grow your social capital is to get in the habit of reaching out to people when you don’t need anything from them. This is quite easy to do here on LinkedIn. Make a list of people whose content resonates with you. Reach out and tell them you appreciate their content. Be specific. Describe what you like about it. Rinse and repeat.
