It was too special to share immediately... But now, I'm eager to share my experiences, reflections, and the self-discoveries I've made. It's been a week since we returned from Majorca, our first holiday as a couple since Emilia's birth. This Spanish Island, a Mediterranean gem, with Palma de Mallorca as its enchanting and unique heart, offered us a refreshing escape. Here's what this brief yet enriching journey helped me realize: *The Joy of Exploration: Traveling ignites a passion within me. I thrive on discovering new places, meeting diverse people, and immersing myself in different cultures. Each journey is a tapestry of unforgettable moments and lessons. *The Importance of Us Time: Taking time for just the two of us, without the responsibilities of parenting, was a powerful reminder of the strength and joy in our relationship. It reinforced how vital it is to nurture our bond as a couple.  *The Power of a Break: Taking a pause from work isn’t just a luxury; it’s essential. Stepping away allows us to return with renewed enthusiasm and a deeper appreciation for what we do. This trip to Majorca has been a gentle reminder of the beauty in balance, the importance of love and connection, and the endless wonders that the world holds for us to discover. It highlighted the incredible growth that comes from stepping outside of routine and embracing the equilibrium between life's demands and personal fulfilment.

Interesting thought of the Day. I have traveled quite extensively in my career. Not as much as some, more than others. I never rush to get in line to board an airplane, and I rarely stress to rush to get off of the plane. Perhaps part of that is planning, perhaps partly luck. Generally, I go out of my way to make it a pleasant experience, when I need assistance from someone when Dining, traveling, checking into a Hotel, etc. Why? Because how can one solve "Big" problems, when you get stressed and tied down with the little things? You just can't. Stressing to get on a plane, with a hundred other people, all arriving at a destination at the same time; it just isn't worth the stress. If someone is having a bad day, while waiting on your table, give them a break. If it takes an extra 5 minutes to get your beverage, because one person is waiting on 15 tables, then so be it. It isn't the end of the world. I haven't always been this way, however, I have gotten this way with age. Don't sweat the small things. Invest your energy in solving large, complex challenges, and just enjoy the ride. 😉

Reflecting on this photo taken over a decade ago during a cruise through the Panama Canal, I can't help but feel the waves of nostalgia mixed with a profound sense of gratitude for the journey I've undertaken since then. In this image, I stand aboard an Oceania Cruises ship, symbolizing the culmination of a career that began on a Princess Cruises vessel—the very company that ignited my passion for the sea. The contrast between the past and present is palpable as I gaze at the Princess ship passing by, reminding me of where it all began. Yet, what truly strikes me is the irony of this moment—a moment frozen in time that encapsulates not just my past, but the unwritten chapters of my future. You see, back then, I couldn't fathom a life beyond the decks of a cruise ship. It was my world, my passion, my everything. But life has a funny way of nudging us towards uncharted territories, urging us to adapt, to evolve, to grow. And so, I found myself navigating the waters of change, propelled by a spirit eager to learn, to be sculpted by the challenges that lay ahead. Change management became more than just a concept—it became my compass, guiding me through the ebb and flow of uncertainty. With each transition, I discovered that the skills honed in one setting were not confined to it; they were transferable, adaptable, and powerful tools waiting to be wielded in new arenas. Today, as I stand at the crossroads of past and present, I am reminded that the most incredible journeys often begin with a single step of faith. It's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, to our capacity to embrace change, to chart new courses, and to thrive in the face of the unknown. Maybe you were sold a dream job that turned out to be a boring routine, or you followed the "safe" path only to find it unfulfilling. It's a common experience, leaving many feeling lost and unsure of their next move. But deep down, even though a detour was taken, you know you have a chance to get back on the pathway you knew was your destiny. But, don’t rush into it, if you’re going to change direction completely be sure to take the time to reflect and dig through the weeds you gathered along the way, and recognise those unexpected strengths you gathered along your journey that are a true reflection of your worth. Remember, your career doesn't have to be a predestined path. It's a journey of exploration and adaptation. Career Throwback to 2017: As the Managing Director of OnCuba Travel, I led alongside my colleagues the coordination for Norwegian Cruise Line's inaugural voyage to Cuba aboard the Norwegian Sky. 5 things I learned from this career throwback: 1. Operating Differently: Thinking outside the box and setting ambitious goals can lead to groundbreaking achievements. 2. Leadership and Collaboration: Effective leadership and seamless collaboration are essential for success, especially when working with C-suite executives. 3. Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Flexibility and creative problem-solving are incredibly important when navigating unexpected challenges, ensuring resilience and resourcefulness. 4. Strategic Thinking: Collaborating at a strategic level deepens foresight and agility, aligning efforts with organizational goals and anticipating market trends. 5.
