Garbage in, garbage out.... AI isn't original thought or creativity - it's regurgitation of previous information/content. If the AI is fed mediocre source materials, you're going to get mediocre or worse results. So - it's HORRIBLE at anything original, because that's just not possible.

I stand by that it's mid at best at copywriting. But in the defense of AI, there's a lot of not-so-great, adjective-laden, marketing copy out there. If you've mostly been trained on bad copywriting, we shouldn't expect it to produce any better. 😂

I like to think of AI as an intern, so to speak… It can be very helpful but needs a lot of guidance, redirection and oversight.

There’s a great article about the Nike - Caitlin Clark ad “you break it, you own it.” and asking AI to come up with compelling ad copy for breaking the scoring record. AI attempts were juvenile and bland, not memorable.
