Join the hunt! The recent State Of Play May 2024 presented us with so many game trailers that it would take a lot of time to review all of them. But we will definitely share a couple of them with you! So today let's take a look at Skydance's Behemoth. This is not just a fantasy game with battles, but a VR game that will provide you with complete immersion in gaming reality. Behemoth focuses on physical combat using swords and axes. The developers combine battle mechanics with a deeper understanding of the plot. After all, the game will send us to lands that have become victims of a destructive plague, where we will have to survive. The game was announced in 2022, now Skydance has announced that the release should take place in the fall of 2024. The game will be released on PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, Quest 2 and Quest 3. This is one of those charts... embrace yourselves to see a lot of it. We're all gonna use different parts of it to prove our points. 😉 For me the VR/AR section is what shines the most. I think right now is a very good time to enter this market. Furthermore, I'd love to see a similar chart that shows the profit levels for the game studios in each section. Yes, mobile gaming is a 100B market, but how much of it is going in the pockets of game developers in the form of net profit? The truth is, many of the games that we see in the top charts are not even profitable, or having tiny margins. So from a game developer perspective, revenues alone can't indicate the attractiveness of a market.
