King's College London (KCL) won the University Mental Health Charter award this year, and we celebrated with them on this recognition, which took approximately 11 onsite visits by the award organisers to “audit” and validate the ground implementations. It was a super tough process, one which would take our KCL friends a year or more to prepare for. National University of Singapore previously contacted Student Minds, the authority on the University Mental Health Charter award, to enquire if we could participate and benchmark against an international standard, but we were informed that the award is only available to UK universities. We have been working with KCL Wellbeing Practitioners since July 2022, and we met in-person for the third time this year. In fact, NUS Office of Student Affairs first adopted KCL’s pyramid model of student wellbeing support when the Student Wellness was first set up circa 2019-2020! https://lnkd.in/gcypKb8w Each year, we bear witness on how much our respective Wellbeing journeys have progressed annually, giving inspiration on how we can better ourselves in our wellbeing practices in our respective universities. We aim to continue to collaborate and share intimately with transparency on best practices (and also our challenges). As usual, the allocated time for such conversations is always insufficient, but we look forward to the next time we meet again. Sharing some photos here. (Missing Juliet Foster here in the photos).
