Talent solutions across Technology and Property; UK, US and EU - CEO IB Global Recruitment, Founder Jowster Consulting
Back to basics.... Yes, whenever #recruitment is tough I revert to this...more conversations, more interviews and all the others but..what about the Industry??? I am certainly seeing a focus on smart infrastructure, carbon friendly materials and sustainably growing businesses. It used to be...How much money have they raised? who are the VC's? How much can I make in the short term. Now it's - Who buys the product? Why is it a must have? How close is the business to profitability? How can I further grow my career here? I Love (and I genuinely mean Love) working with mission critical products, game changers, those with legal tailwinds as it is a no brainer to sell to candidates and I know I can go on to build long lasting relationships with those clients. Are you a 'must have' product who needs to bolster the squad? Do you want to be in a mission critical business for Real Estate? lets catch up.... p.s I'll be at Innovation0 and The Workplace event this week followed by CREtech next week. oh and of course our Village Duck Race 🦆

🐘 Why FourthWall? Hear from our founder Mark Griffith! 🐘 15 years ago, my journey into attraction marketing began unexpectedly while pitching event work for a client. I quickly adapted and dove headfirst into this new sector. Over these years, we've navigated changes - tuition fees, Brexit, reductions in research grants, COVID, and the rise of hybrid work. The past 15 years have been fantastic, and I'm thrilled to introduce FourthWall. Our mission is to deliver a more targeted approach, truly becoming solutions providers who are immersed in how to get the best and brightest talent into the world of work. I'm excited for the next 15 years as we continue breaking down barriers, driving success for our clients, and shaping the future of work. And why the elephant, you ask? Well, when you're repeatedly told that your client is touring around a real elephant, it's a clear sign that you're making a big impact in the world of attraction marketing! #AttractionMarketing #NewBeginnings #FutureOfWork #TalentSolutions #EarlyCareers

For those that want to break into VC, IB, PE...! Talk to people. Make an effort to go out of your way and integrate within the ecosystem long before you ever step foot in it as an employee. This will take time and a lot of rejection, frustration, and turmoil on your part. Don't be afraid to ask questions, schedule meetings (if only for 5 minutes), and be excited in the process. Groups that are a great starting point: GU grads: https://lnkd.in/giS_x5ah Whitworth grads: https://lnkd.in/gurykJvk Spokane Community: https://lnkd.in/gxF8Shat https://lnkd.in/g5ryD_Cs https://www.spopro.org/ What other groups am I missing?

Founders, you’ve been doing investor updates wrong! Instead, they should be the other way around. Your investors should be the ones sending you monthly updates on their contributions to your company. A good investor update email should look like this 👇 "Hey Pierre, This past month, here's what I've accomplished for your company: * Brought in 5 new prospects. * Initiated conversations for 2 strategic partnerships. * Sourced a potential candidate for the VP of Product role. More to come next month! John" That puts your investors to good use, rather than having them wondering: “How can I help you?” “Thanks, John - Looking forward to your next update.” Do you agree that founders deserve their own monthly updates from investors? I'm curious to hear your thoughts. — 🔔 Follow me, Pierre Sabbagh, for more investor updates.

I'm in Chicago for tomorrow's SOLID Summit and have been reflecting on our journey, which has always been about spotting—and advancing—talent across the business of law. It's so gratifying to now have a proven system for doing just that. Our first SOLID was 2016 in New York. We grew momentum through 2019, then suddenly went virtual when you-know-what happened. The Cowen Cafe sprung up in response to that pause, and it quickly became a forum for up-and-coming talent to debut online... then become a speaker at SOLID... and then at Legalweek, EDI, CLOC or other leading events. Last year, SOLID went live again. In 2024, we are in NYC, SF, Chicago and Atlanta. Next year, we will add London. More events. More opportunities to grow and connect. More relationships. That's what it's all about. #SOLID #legaltech #chicago

Shout out to companies who do cool stuff just because. VidAngel hosted a movie showing the other week. For free. My wife and kids went to a SUPER fun movie. (Complete with these visors still being worn in the McKay house). For. Free. Will VidAngel benefit from stuff like this? Will they get additional leads and/or eventually more revenue? Sure. Attribution might be murky. But sure. Companies that do stuff like this to invest in communities getting to know them are my favorite kinds of companies. Thanks for this. Cheering for y'all.
