Your team IS important As an entrepreneur, you are aware that the team you build will drive most of the decisions your company will make along the way.    That's why the culture you create around it and the people you choose to lead it are paramount to developing a successful business. Period.   2. The compounding effect IS important "When you're going through a business that has that effect, it's really hard to understand what you can accomplish over time if you're patient and keep executing. But once you get in that curve, it's incredible to see what you can build."   3. The conviction on what you're doing IS important   "If you are convinced of what you are building and if that is the dream you want to pursue, keep on doing it. "Increase your serendipity. Talk to anyone and everyone about your startup. What aspect interests or doesn't interest them? Embrace strangers and unexpected connections. You never know who they might know that could become a customer, a partner, an investor, etc." Students in my entrepreneurship course really enjoyed hearing this and other valuable advice from Ethan James A., who offered perspective as a founder and product designer. It reminded me of David Perell's powerful list of tips to swim intentionally in "a wide, ever-expanding river.
