Yadong Li, Senior Principal Engineer and IPU Lead Software Architect, is discussing "Reliable Transport of Lossy Fabrics (Falcon)." This presentation covers how Falcon provides reliable, low-latency hardware transport for RDMA messages and NVMe commands in cloud-scale lossy fabrics. The talk emphasizes Falcon's capability to meet the rigorous demands of critical workloads, including HPC, AI/ML, and storage networking. After this, Cody McCain, IPU Software Solutions Product Manager, is conducting two demonstrations. The first demo showcases a cloud-native use case for Intel’s IPU, illustrating how these processing units can enhance cloud operations. The second demo focuses on AI inference, demonstrating how Intel’s IPUs improve AI processing efficiency. These demonstrations provide practical insights into the deployment and benefits of IPUs in modern cloud and AI environments.
