Adobe Photoshop is the status quo platform for creators and designers, yet Canva is outperforming it for 4 obvious reasons (obvious if you're in marketing): 1. Accessibility : When a platform is too fancy and difficult to access, it becomes an option for later (which could mean never). 2. Pricing: Canva offers a free platform with an option to upgrade, making it accessible to a wider audience. 3.Ease of Use: Mastering Photoshop requires significant time and effort, including courses and tutorials, whereas Canva is user-friendly and intuitive. 4.Inclusivity: Canva is designed for everyone, including creators. While Adobe may offer higher quality, Canva has achieved something beyond mere quality: By being free and providing easy-to-use editing tools, 🎈Canva has attracted everyday people and introduced them to the world of creativity. 🎈It has inspired a passion for design, branding, and video editing, offering a pathway to new careers and futures. 🎈It sends a clear message to its users : YES CAN DO IT TOO! Correct me if I'm wrong! I've been checking out this post on different pages and profiles, and it seems like everyone is sharing it without realizing a common mistake. It's surprising because there are so many marketers and content strategists who have seen and liked the post, but they haven't noticed a clear mistake in the picture. Nobody seems to be talking about it: The tags "Me" should be on the "Male," and the "Canva" should be on the female. It's like Adobe Photoshop should be feeling jealous of Canva, not the person (Me). The female (Photoshop) should be feeling jealous of the other female (Canva), not the male. It's kind of like a situation where one female is getting jealous of another female because a male chose the other female over her. I don't think Canva is capable of replacing Photoshop. Both Canva and Adobe Photoshop serve distinct purposes in design workflows. Canva excels in repurposing existing work, such as templates, backgrounds, and GIFs. It's highly effective for quickly creating posters, flyers, invites, and thumbnails due to its user-friendly interface and rich repository of elements. Adobe Photoshop, in contrast, is suited for original creations. Whether it's designing a logo from scratch, photo retouching or complex graphic compositions, Photoshop offers advanced tools for detailed work. While not every marketer is expected to use Photoshop, it's a go-to resource for professional designers who specialize in custom designs. Whether you're a marketer crafting your designs (a rare but valuable skill) or collaborating with a designer to bring your vision to life, I strongly encourage you not to choose between Canva and Photoshop.
