THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IS BROKEN AND NOT WORKING FOR AMERICAN TAXPAYERS Veteran Housing Corp would ask every TAXPAYER to demand and get answers from their elected and appointed government officials the below questions as they relate to any affordable, workforce, or supportive housing project in your community! 1. How much local, state, and federal funding, tax credits, or other government benefits or incentives did the project receive? 2. What is the affordability period for each project? Is the affordability period permanent and in perpetuity? 3. What guarantees exist have your local, state, and federal government officials obtained in writing that rents will not go up or that tenants will not be displaced or evicted after the "affordability period expires? Every local, state, and federal housing authority and affordable or workforce housing stakeholder should adopt the State of Vermont's "permanent affordability" policy as a model for all future government funded or subsidized housing projects or developments, no exceptions! https://lnkd.in/eFEUC8c8 Additionally, local, state and federal housing agencies should look to the Helsinki, FINLAND MODEL of ending homelessness by providing affordable housing for all 'It’s a miracle': Helsinki's radical solution to homelessness https://lnkd.in/er9HZSQU Even the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development AGREES THAT adopting FINLAND'S MODEL OF ERADICATING HOMELESSNESS may be of great value to resolving the affordable housing and homelessness crises in America https://lnkd.in/gkSZWYRU

💡 Introducing Shanya Gill, a remarkable 12-year-old prodigy reshaping the landscape of fire detection systems. Her groundbreaking fire detection system distinguishes between human body heat and heat sources, like stovetops. This distinction enables rapid identification of unattended fires in a matter of seconds, an innovation far superior to conventional smoke detectors. In a remarkable achievement, Shanya emerged as the champion in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge. Watch the full video below to learn more. #InnovationInTech #YoungScientist #FireDetectionAdvancements #InspiringTomorrow
“After a restaurant behind her family’s home burned down last year, middle schooler Shanya Gill was inspired to create a device that could prevent such disasters — one more effective than the standard smoke detectors she said failed to identify the restaurant’s blaze in time. Shanya, 12, not only did just that, but also earned a national award and $25,000 for her idea. Last week, she won the top prize in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge for a fire detection system that can differentiate between the warmth emitted from people and from heat sources, like stove burners. That differentiation allows it to spot unattended fires in seconds, far faster than smoke detectors, which only sound once smoke has reached them. In a video from the competition, Shanya said her device is “more accurate, more affordable, and faster than any other smoke detector on the market.” She added that she wants to work with her fellow competitors to help bring all their inventions to fruition. “It was surreal,” the San Jose, California, resident said of winning. “The suspense was really high, I didn’t feel much and now it’s kind of hitting me.” https://lnkd.in/gsr2N9jV

Pricing decisions can make or break your product’s success. Pricing is just one way you communicate the value of your products – membership, education, events, etc. Too low and you leave money on the table, too high and you lose sales. It’s a stressful time which usually leads to guessing what price might be right based on competitors or what seems like a fair markup. Don't be that scene from Happy Gilmore with Bob Barker, “The price is wrong…” Mark your calendar for the session "The Price is Right... or Is It? at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership Annual Meeting - Monday, August 12th at 2:45pm. See you in Cleveland!!
