I cannot post happy photos right now. I cannot tell you about having a beautiful “girls” day today with my daughter and stepmom. I cannot tell you about my two sons and their five friends sleeping all over my house right now after raiding my pantry. Because my heart is broken. Tonight, Israel Defense Forces recovered the bodies of six Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, including one American citizen. The recovery operation took place amid continued efforts to reach a hostage-release and ceasefire in the Gaza deal. The six bodies belong to three men and three women who were kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival in southern Israel on Oct. 7. Innocent, happy people. Kids. Like mine. And yours. But mine are sleeping peacefully right now. And these hostages are dead. 101 remain. I get to say goodnight, I love you, sweet dreams baby. The parents of these precious souls can never have that again. Bring. Them. Home. And if you disagree with me, I beg you to unfollow me. Block me. Go away. Because there is no disagreeing with what happened on October 7th. So as you hug your loved ones today, please say a special prayer for the innocent souls in captivity and the precious ones that have lost their lives because of these animals called Hamas. Am Yisrael Chai. (a Jewish solidarity anthem and a widely used expression of Jewish peoplehood and an affirmation of the continuity of the Jewish people.) We will survive. Since the beginning of time, they’ve tried to destroy us. But we are stronger. Rest in peace, dear ones. #israel #gaza #peace #conflict

Annie, you look so young and beautiful that I think I’m going to adopt you as my 2nd daughter. You look like you are part of my family anyway, so nobody will question it. The curfew is midnight and your allowance will be $20 a week. Don’t spend it all in one place. As for boys, let me know when you’re ready and I will buy you a nice boy dog. He will be your best friend, will always be with you, love you every day, and will never abandon you. Human boys won’t do that, and most men have difficulty staying in their own yard. They like to jump the fence and go see what the lovely girl dogs are doing. Just how it is. Sorry. :-) But once in a while a beautiful girl, like yourself, gets lucky and finds a handsome man who is made of iron and is immovable in his duties as a husband and father. Do you know anyone like that, Annie? :-)

Those who are in the captivity of Hamas right now, I hope are happy, healthy and most importantly alive. My and millions of prayers all across the globe can only save them otherwise these merciless creatures will try everything to make them suffer and die. In my opinion there is no use of talking to Hamas and pleading them for the releasing of the remaining 101 beautiful human beings. These devils understand the only language of force and brutal force. you need to kill your opponent else he is going to kill you, this is the only rule of survival.

I so agree with you deep heart-felt comments. It is difficult to celebrate good times knowing there are so many people waiting and praying to be reunited with their loved ones. It is so terrible that October 7th even had to happen. This needs to come to an end. I pray that more hostages are found alive very soon.

My heart goes out to you. It is terrible to lose innocent lives no matter the circumstances. May they rest in peace and may each of us hold our loved ones closer tonight.

Annie, I fully support and agree with your thoughtful and heartfelt commentary. The actions of the Hamas terrorists on October 7th were despicably evil and inexcusable ... as are their treatment and subsequent murders of the hostages that have occurred ever since. My deepest condolences to the families of those hostages still held by the terrorists and especially to the families of those killed while in captivity.

People do not deserve to die like this. Love goes out to the people still living with the horrors.

Annie Calvert, MBA, CPC These killings are so much more despicable because they were clearly carried out for nothing more than spite. They were, from what the news reported here, on the verge of being rescued. There really aren't words for that level of cruelty. I certainly don't have one.
