The days are long but the years are short, as they say— most definitely used to be true. When they’re little, it’s never easy! At least not for me. Lately though, I think both are flying by. The days. And the years. I cried this morning— their first days of 7th and 9th grade. A blink ago they were in pre-school and 1st grade. Why did I cry? Yes, I’m an emotional person, but I don’t typically cry at the first day of school. They’re so big. They’re so much more mature than they were just one year ago. Sam was kind and loving to his sister this morning as she was scared for her new school. (I’m not sure he’s really acknowledged her existence for most of his life so this was a really big deal!) I guess I’m on here because I just wanted to show you who I’ve raised and what they’ve become. I’m so freaking proud of both of them. The people that they are at just 12 and 14. My kids are the reason I do everything I do. Yes of course I’m in love with my husband! But these children motivate me every day to be better, to be my best self, to keep going even when it’s hard. They are my North Star. I can’t wait to see what life brings them. May mine and yours always have health, happiness, and love. May we always have each other. #love #kids #parenting #life

I cannot post happy photos right now. I cannot tell you about having a beautiful “girls” day today with my daughter and stepmom. I cannot tell you about my two sons and their five friends sleeping all over my house right now after raiding my pantry. Because my heart is broken. Tonight, Israel Defense Forces recovered the bodies of six Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, including one American citizen. The recovery operation took place amid continued efforts to reach a hostage-release and ceasefire in the Gaza deal. The six bodies belong to three men and three women who were kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival in southern Israel on Oct. 7. Innocent, happy people. Kids. Like mine. And yours. But mine are sleeping peacefully right now. And these hostages are dead. 101 remain. I get to say goodnight, I love you, sweet dreams baby. The parents of these precious souls can never have that again. Bring. Them. Home. And if you disagree with me, I beg you to unfollow me. Block me. Go away. Because there is no disagreeing with what happened on October 7th. So as you hug your loved ones today, please say a special prayer for the innocent souls in captivity and the precious ones that have lost their lives because of these animals called Hamas. Am Yisrael Chai. (a Jewish solidarity anthem and a widely used expression of Jewish peoplehood and an affirmation of the continuity of the Jewish people.) We will survive. Respect isn't always for elders; it's often for the young, vibrant souls we raise. From a young age, Evie displayed strong will and a big spirit, growing even more as she matures. Her determination and tenacity, especially at her age, are powerful traits. As she enters 7th grade, facing change and growth, these qualities will continue to serve her well. Evie's fierceness reminds me of Shakespeare: "Though she be but little, she is fierce." Despite her stature, Evie possesses strength that surpasses her size. My first wedding. 2008. I was so young. 29. So young, but thought I knew so much. Thought I was way more mature than I was. Of course, I had so very much to learn. I’m struck by how much has changed—not just in the world around me, but within myself. It’s a snapshot of a moment filled with hope, love, and anticipation for the future. I was filled with dreams and plans, imagining what life would hold. What I didn’t know was just how much I would learn about myself, my strength, my power, and the depth of my heart in the 15 years that followed. In the time since that photo was taken, I’ve faced challenges I couldn’t have predicted and experienced joys I hadn’t even dreamed of. Each obstacle has taught me something new about my own resilience. I’ve discovered a well of strength within me that has carried me through the toughest times and helped me rise above them. My power has become clearer to me, not just in the sense of influence or control, but in the quiet confidence that comes from knowing who I am and what I’m capable of. My heart, too, has grown in ways. It has expanded with love, compassion, and understanding, not just for others, but for myself. I understand forgiveness, a difficult task of acceptance and freedom. This journey of self-discovery has shown me that true strength and power come from embracing both the highs and lows, and letting them shape me into someone who is stronger, wiser, and more loving. To be completely transparent, as I always am with you, I have very few regrets in my life. One is not knowing then how to be the partner that I am today. My self-work taught me I cannot shame myself for not being what I was meant to be— I was barely 30 years old. After all, I am that person now. The partner. The person I was meant to be. I can't pinpoint it. What exactly it is about the 3 of us together. You all know, my daughter Evie is my heart, and my son Sammy is my soul. Meet James, my stepson. Every day, I feel blessed to have him in my life. The dynamic between us just clicks. These two boys— my eyes are welling up with tears. Being a mom to Sam and a stepmom to James feels natural, thanks to my incredible stepmom paving the way for me— showing me how to parent with love, with devotion, with loyalty, with trust. And now I have this, with these two. They're only a year apart, almost to the day. Looking at them fills my heart with love. Monday, I underwent surgery, and I'm happy to share that I'm doing well and on the road to recovery. 🙏 Truly, I AM FINE. ❤️🩹 But I would be remiss if I told you everyone knew how to react. What I have found in life, particularly during sickness, people just aren’t sure what to do or how to act. And that’s OK! But it’s during times like these that the support of friends, family, and colleagues becomes incredibly meaningful. Recovery can be a delicate process, and even if you're not naturally inclined towards caregiving or don't feel like you're “good” at offering support, here are some simple and thoughtful ways to show you care: 1. Check-in: A simple message or call can mean the world. It doesn’t have to be a lengthy conversation—just a quick "How are you feeling?" or "Thinking of you" can make someone’s day. ☀️ 2. Send a little something: Whether it’s a favorite snack, a good book, or a cozy blanket, small gestures can provide comfort and remind them they're cared for. 🎁 3. Respect their space: Everyone recovers differently. Some may need space, while others appreciate more interaction. Let them set the pace. 🏃♂️ 4. Offer practical help: Running errands, picking up groceries, or even helping with work tasks can relieve stress and allow them to focus on healing. 📆 5. Just listen: Sometimes, the best thing you can do is simply be there to listen, without trying to fix anything or offer advice. 👂 I'm incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received and am looking forward to getting back to full strength any day! I want to send a message this morning. It’s to you. And it’s to Simone Biles. She probably won’t see it. But ya never know right? Plus, you will. And that matters to me. A lot. I read an article this morning about how one of the greatest athletes OF ALL TIME, Simone, is getting hate from the typical haters about her husband, her love, and specifically him wearing her medal in a photo. She defended it, along with many other things she’s defended about him and them. And then she fell off the beam. Maybe coincidence. Maybe not. But I’m here to say this to YOU. What you put out to the world is what comes into your life. You’re the BEST that is— the best that EVER was. Why defend yourself? Why qualify? I work on this every day with my clients. I beg you. Please stop qualifying what you do or why. You don’t need permission. Not to win. Not to be in love. Not to be the best. Not to be the GOAT. I won’t defend my love. My accolades. My husband.
