On Monday, I email every candidate that has an interview scheduled this week. I want to make sure things are good. After each interview, I give an update and make sure they don’t have unanswered questions. If they don’t get the job, I’ll follow up and tell them why and leave the door open for future conversations. It takes a little extra time to create a good candidate experience but it’s worth it. Candidates deserve transparency and honest feedback.
