The office market in India has witnessed one of its best years yet. Crossing a gross absorption of 58 million sq.ft. across the top 6 cities, the market recorded a 16% YoY increase in demand. Majorly driven by manufacturing, engineering, BFSI and flex players, Bangalore saw the highest share of leasing, closely followed by Delhi NCR and Chennai. Further, almost 50% of the transacted spaces were large deals, mainly Global Capability Centers (GCCs), that crossed 100,000 sq.ft.
