Our Australian developed Sunovate PVT system uses air as the working fluid which gives it its unique characteristics. Australia classifies it as a solar air heater. Australia has no standards for solar air heating. Solar air heating is also not a regulated product.No regulations, no standards, no insurance coverage, no customers, no business. After +5 years of trying to get support from all facets of government MPs, departments and institutions to make these changes we can conclude that this is not going to happen anytime soon. We have a climate crisis, we have a viable proven solution and we no local support. Despite what we keep getting told, fossil gas and hydrogen is not going to decarbonise low grade thermal services. But with APPEA writing Australia's energy and carbon policy none of this is a surprise to us.
