🌟HAPPY FRIDAY NEWS🌟 In January HIT Leadership was set the task of supporting Falcon Support Services by lifting 365 tonnes in 36.5 days. I love a challenge, and what Falcon Support Services does to help homeless people within Leicestershire, so embarked on the journey on 1st Feb 2024. Today, I am proud to say that I have smashed the original target of 365 tonnes and have lifted 385 tonne in 30 days 😁 Let's not forget why HIT Leadership is supporting this charity. - Over 1400 people, in Leicestershire, are currently homeless. - With cuts to Falcon Support Services homeless people are fearing for their lives. - No one wants to be homeless and a vast majority of the time it's out of their control. - Access to much needed support services will be lost - In 2022 rough sleeping increased by %109 - 27'444 meals were cooked for homeless people, by Falcon Support Services in 2023 You can still support this cause by donating using the following link https://lnkd.in/e2ksnzsY Let's support our communities and show people less fortunate than ourselves that we care. CCare Changes People Lives. What a Fantastic Charity! CCare has without doubt become one of Melbourne’s biggest and best Jewish charities. Rabbi Shlomo Nathanson (Toorak and Port Melbourne synagogues) started CCare about 10 years ago delivering a few meals a week to Jews living in poverty. The average non Jew believes ALL Jews are rich. That is not correct. You will be shocked to know that about 30% live in poverty! All this week their huge Annual Campaign takes place where EVERY donation will be tripled by sponsors. CCare has some fantastic sponsors, some of the richest people in Australia. Donate $100 and you will be donating $400! CCare delivers 832 meals every week, delivers 1,088 pantry boxes a month and on average has 184 volunteers a week. Fanatstic. As a CCare ambassador, I am so happy to volunteer from time to time and make my annual significant donation.
