Why then are the Australian Government and the Federal Opposition not working to get it developed in Australia and bring it back home? New Zealand has, so why not Australia? Interesting articles about Nuclear and I know you haven't looked at Fusion. So let's look at the nuclear or Fission option versus Fusion 1. Should the focus in Australia be on nuclear fission advancement or the promotion of fusion technology? 7, Fission (Nuclear) is only at present in 39 countries out of 189. 8. Is Dutton doing a Menzies and wanting a loophole to get fission (Nuclear) weapons to start with for the subs? 9. Australia still has no high-level radiation waste storage facility 10. Helion Fusion has committed to having its fusion version working in 2028 11. The FIA (Fusion Industry Association) has postulated that commercial power fusion will be available in the 2030s. 12. In its fusion conference report in 2023, the IAEA postulated that all International nuclear (Fission) Laws like the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty do not consider fusion, so it seems it can be built in Australia now. 13. Fusion is also being developed "Small Modular Fusion Reactors" like Zap Energy and Avalanche Energy. 14. HB11 and the UNSW Tokamak project have positioned Australia prominently in the trillion-dollar international fusion industry. Instead of relying on fission with a limited lifetime, wouldn't it be preferable to support Australian renewables, batteries, and hydrogen energy generators and back them up with a fusion power plant? This would eliminate the traditional waste problem while still providing medical isotopes and advancements in medical technology like MRIs. At the recent North Pacific Fishery Management Council meeting, 100+ voices weighed in on chum salmon bycatch. Our fishery shares many of these concerns and will continue doing our part to reduce incidental catch of Western Alaska chum salmon through science-based solutions. We're also mindful of the increasing impacts of non-US hatchery chum salmon on pollock-dependent Alaskan communities. Several options on the Council's table could actually increase Western Alaska incidental catch in the long run, and we aim to promote sustainable growth. #ResponsibleFisheryManagement #SustainableFishery

Interesting insights into the Animal Kingdom world – “Giraffes give birth while standing up, requiring the newborn to fall just under 2 meters to the ground! Since its birth and entry to the world is designed in such an abrupt manner, a newborn calf can stand up and run within an hour of being born.” Thus in order to survive predators, the first lesson a giraffe must learn is to get to its feet quickly. If we keep your eyes open and are willing to learn, life offers us invaluable advice at every step of the way. Toward mutual goals of achieving sustainable marine aquarium fisheries management and aquaculture:

Be more like an elephant 🐘 On my most recent adventure to Namibia we had a magical encounter. Journeying through the Northwest region of Namibia, also known as Damaraland, we stayed at a beautiful campsite right next to a River bed (no water though due to dry season) 🏜️ With rumours about Elephants roaming the area, we made it our mission to drive through the bush, engage the vehicle in 4x4 and find the friendly giants 🏞️🕵🏻♂️ Driving 15-20 km upstream suddenly a group of 6 Elephants stood right in front of our eyes putting on a show where we were the only spectators. As we sat in silence and ensured that we were “one” with the vehicle suddenly out of the bush appeared an additional 10 Elephants that joined the herds. Slowly but surely they got closer. Despite walking slowly they eventually reached the rest of their herd. It made me think of a valuable lesson: Take it slow but reach the goal (emoji) 🏃♀️ So often we put 150% effort and then crash, then 150% again and another crash. Rather consistently put in 80% at all times and then reach the goal. Elephants don’t walk fast, but they always end up where they need to be. Put in consistent effort and you will reach the goals you set for yourself 🏁🏆 Another interesting lesson I learned from the Elephants was their cooperation. Elephants move in herds. They don’t just ‘stick together’; they rely and depend on each other. They work together and ensure that the newer and more inexperienced in the herd feel safe and secure. Do I as a leader make sure that my herd is comfortable? Take a look around you. Are there reminders from the animal kingdom that you can reflect on in order to improve? #development #leadership #animals #reflection #hr
