Please join the Illegal Evictions Education Subcommittee on Monday, April 29th, at 6PM, for an online training session on your rights during an illegal "self-help" eviction. Join us on Zoom at bit.ly/3IEAT Landlords do not have the right to evict you without a court order. This training will help you find out if your landlord's eviction threats are legal, what legal remedies exist to stop an illegal eviction, and how to prepare for legal action. The training will last for about a total of 1 hour, with room for Q&A. If you are a tenant advocate, please share this with any of your clients or tenants you speak with who may find this information useful. Disclaimer: This training contains legal information, and we do not give legal advice. For legal advice, you must seek a legal aid attorney or private counsel. The presenters are paralegals who work at various legal aid organizations in Philadelphia.
