Construction Risk Facilities (CRF) – a division of ARC Excess & Surplus LLC - has promoted Tamara Ramalho to Underwriting Manager. Tamara has been with CRF since 2018 and has underwritten the Construction Umbrella book during that period of time. With the departure of Ron Milin, Tamara will be taking over the management of the Construction Umbrella Program, where CRF is the program administrator for Core Specialty. Tamara has 20 years’ experience in the underwriting of various insurance products. Prior to joining CRF, she spent 4 years at Greater New York Insurance Company (GNY) developing numerous management and underwriting training programs as their Manager of Training & Talent Development. Prior to GNY, Tamara honed her underwriting skills with a 10 year tenure at Ace USA (now Chubb) as an Executive Underwriter in their Accident & Health Division. She’s also held underwriting positions at American International Group and Chubb, where she began her underwriting career in 1995 after completing her education at Stony Brook University. Commenting on this change, Mike Cavallaro, CEO of ARC said, “We are thrilled to have Tamara assume the role of Underwriting Manager of Construction Risk Facilities (CRF). Tamara has demonstrated the skills and knowledge necessary to manage CRF and handle the Construction Umbrella Program we administer for Core Specialty. Not only does Tamara have the underwriting acumen to handle this book, but she also has deep rooted relationships that will help us grow the program. I have no doubt that Tamara will successfully manage CRF and be the engine to fuel the program to new heights.”
