A young Oklahoma little leaguer was accidentally hit in the head by a ball.... and the pitcher was devastated. So the kid who was hit walked out to the pitcher’s mound to let the pitcher know that he’s going to be okay. Now THAT is sportsmanship. Empathy in this reel shows us the powerhouse tool that can create a sense of unity and understanding among individuals. It allows us to connect with others on a deeper level and provide support and comfort in times of need. Without empathy, it would be difficult to build strong relationships and foster a sense of community. In this situation, the display of empathy from both the team members and parents helped to create a positive and supportive environment, allowing the young team to overcome their challenges and grow stronger together. It is a reminder of the importance of empathy in building resilience and fostering positive relationships in any group or community.
