Happy International Women’s Day from City Integration! 🎉 As we celebrate International Women's Day today, it's a powerful reminder of the strides we've made and the journey that lies ahead, especially for young women in finance. In this often male-dominated industry, diversity isn't just a buzzword: it's a necessity. It is crucial to recognize the pivotal role young women play in shaping the future of finance and banking. For young women embarking on their careers in finance, International Women's Day serves as a beacon of inspiration. It's about breaking barriers, shattering glass ceilings, and forging paths that empower future generations. Despite the progress we've made, challenges persist. Gender disparities in pay, representation in leadership roles, and access to opportunities remain prevalent. International Women's Day compels us to confront these realities head-on and advocate for meaningful change. Here at City Integration, we go one step further. We work closely with our clients and hiring managers to look beyond a CV, to support all women, regardless of what stage they are at in their career, in pursuing the right career path for them, and ensuring equal opportunities for all. Let's reaffirm our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We must continue to rewrite the narrative of finance—one where every young woman has the opportunity to thrive, succeed, and make her mark on the world! #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInFinance #Empowerment #Diversity #Inclusion #Finance #FutureLeadership #CityIntegration

🌎 ✨ International Women’s Day is this week! As Gloria Steinem stated, "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights." I believe we all have a part to play in the progress toward a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive. For me, inclusion is a way of being. It's about creating spaces where all women feel empowered to be their authentic selves, without fear of judgment or discrimination. It's about amplifying the diverse voices of women and uplifting each other through solidarity and support. It truly lights me up to be a woman in finance. In Canada, only 23% of financial advisors are women, which includes retail banks where financial advisors are often salaried employees(1). 🌟 I am so proud to say that I am one of the 23%! 🌟 I take my role in advancing our industry with a profound sense of pride and responsibility. Since starting my practice, I have committed to creating uplifting & inclusive spaces for women and have founded two communities. This sparked from a desire to support women in their money & wealth building journey and also my desire to create a supportive community for other women in finance. It has been beautiful to see these two communities grow and evolve. 🤍 Trū Women & Money Community ~ established on IWD in 2023, we are a diverse community of women with the desire to learn, grow and have real conversations about money & wealth. 🔗 Click link in bio if you would like to be a part of our growing community https://lnkd.in/gpShCgeU 🤍 A Group of Women in Finance ~ established in 2021, this is a collective of exceptional & diverse Financial Professionals who are looking to connect, engage & support each other regardless of where we are in the country. Here's to inspiring inclusion today and every day! 💖 #InternationalWomensMonth #Unity #Diversity #Inclusion #Empowerment #WomenInFinance 1. Steve Garmhuasen, “Women Make Great Financial Advisors. 🌟 Celebrating International Women's Day at Sequeira Partners! 🌟 Today, we proudly embrace the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress." At Sequeira Partners, we believe in the power of women to drive positive change and shape the future of finance, entrepreneurship, and business. While we are proud that over half of our workforce is made up of a diverse group of women, it is the action we take outside our office walls that demonstrates our commitment. Our firm seeks out opportunities to elevate female leaders: in November, we brought together over 75 women at our Annual Women & Entrepreneurship event, creating an environment for women to create connection and celebrate successes. Our team members actively participate in important industry initiatives, including Edmonton Women in Finance and Association of Women in Finance, as well as mentorship of young women in accounting and finance. We also take this opportunity to acknowledge that in Canada, and globally, women face barriers, which must be addressed to achieve gender equity. Sequeira Partners is proud to approach this from many angles. This past year, we have contributed to the YWCA Edmonton as part of the annual Rose Campaign to end violence against women and girls, supported gender parity initiatives for scholarship funding at The University of British Columbia (UBC) varsity athletics, and participated as board members on organizations promoting affordable home ownership. 🤝 **Join Us in Driving Change:** This International Women's Day, let's collectively invest in women and accelerate progress. Whether it's challenging stereotypes, promoting diversity, or supporting women-led initiatives, together, we can create a more equitable and thriving future. #InternationalWomensDay #InvestInWomen #AccelerateProgress #SequeiraPartners #GenderEquality #InclusiveWorkplace #EmpowerWomen #DiversityandInclusion #iwd2024

Statement for International Women’s Day My dear friends around the world, On this International Women’s Day, I stand before you as an advocate for sustainability, progress, equality, and empowerment. Our world thrives when women are at the forefront of innovation, leadership, and compassion. Let us rally together to create a future where every woman’s potential is fully realized. Empowering Women in Edication, Science, Finance, and Healthcare: Education, science, finance, and healthcare are not just fields; they are gateways to shaping our world. Encouraging women to actively participate in these sectors is essential. Let us break down barriers, provide mentorship, and celebrate their achievements. When women lead in science, they drive groundbreaking discoveries. In finance, they bring fresh perspectives and sustainable practices. And in healthcare, they nurture communities and heal lives. Higher-Paying Jobs and Family Stability: Economic empowerment is a cornerstone of gender equality. By promoting women’s participation in high-paying jobs, we uplift entire families. Financial stability leads to better education, improved healthcare, and stronger communities. Let us create pathways for women to thrive professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Women as Moral Compasses: In a world where ethics and morality sometimes waver, women can be our unwavering moral compass. Their empathy, resilience, and nurturing spirit could guide our younger generations toward a more compassionate society. Let us celebrate their wisdom and encourage them to lead with integrity, inspiring future generations to do the same. Supporting Motherhood: Motherhood is a sacred journey. We must ensure that it is supported by robust healthcare systems, accessible childcare, and family-friendly policies by the governments and regulators. When mothers are well-supported, families flourish, and societies thrive. Let us champion policies that recognize the vital role of mothers and provide them with the resources they need. In unity, let us honor the women who have paved the way and those who continue to shape our world. Together, we can build a future where every woman’s voice is heard, every dream is achievable, and every heart is filled with hope. Happy International Women’s Day! With warmth and determination, Ambassador Buddhi Athauda (retired) Co-Founder Diplomatic Council
