Livelihood – deprive the cost of transportation and to increase the profit c. Security – helping the law enforcer in maintaining justice and peace d. Emergency Response – relief operation, mitigation, resiliency, and humanitarian response e. Ecology – ecological protection, conservation, and preservation f. Transportation of (1) students during monthly formation, (2) clergy during monthly meeting/assembly, church organizations (3) RDSAC program partners 2. Uplift the lives of people in giving better opportunities to basic needs (health, livelihood, security, emergency response, ecology, and transportation) 3. Empowerment of the community through shared responsibility and active participation in terms of volunteering apostolate for the less fortunate and vulnerable 4. Strengthening landscape management and conservation (SLMC) has floated - RFP – Baseline Assessment under SLMC project Location: India Apply by: 02 Jan 2024 Timeline: January - April 2024 Relevant Sectors Monitoring, Evaluation, Policy, Research Purpose: Baseline Assessment under SLMC project Location: Selected Landscape in India Unit: Forestry and Natural Resource Management SLMC Project is a five year program implemented by Winrock International and funded by the USAID. It aims to enhance the management of ecological landscapes for biodiversity conservation, human well-being, and climate benefits, contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved carbon sequestration, and enhanced environmental benefits in #India. The project alongside Winrock International is being implemented with three consortium partners - @Wildlife Trust India, Iora Ecological Solutions and VERTIVER. The headquarter of SLMC is based out of Delhi and the project will be implemented in three landscapes of India.The baseline assessment is essential for benchmarking performance and undertaking annual progress reviews and end-of-project reviews. The RFP solicits proposals from local firms or international firms with a presence or local partners in India to conduct a baseline evaluation in the intervention areas of SLMC. SLMC is seeking a detailed technical and financial proposal from an experienced firm to conduct and establish baseline values for SLMC’s monitoring and evaluation. The baseline will be prepared using primary and secondary data consisting of quantitative and qualitative information. Key research questions and data variables will be provided to the firm for key performance indicators and the firm must develop appropriate data collection tools to capture the desired data for establishing the baseline value of the indicators. All the information related to project background, objective, research methodology, norms for technical and financial proposal etc. are given in the advertisement. It is expected that the selected firm will complete the baseline of all three landscapes between Jan 24 to April 24, which includes design of survey tools in consultation with SLMC and its implementing partners; data collection in the selected landscape, analysis and report writing. Qualified firms with experience conducting evaluations on #Forestry, #Landscape #Management and #Conservation and #Natural #Resource #Management activities having involved in similar projects in the past, particularly within the last five (5) years. The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) has launched ‘GHAR (Green Housing Affordable Resilient) in partnership with the provincial governments of Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP). There are three components to UNOPS Pakistan’s work on climate-resilient housing: communication, training, and demonstration strategies.
