Mercy is committed to providing the best possible care to its patients. That's why we rely on Mercy Technology Services (MTS) to support our mission. MTS plays a critical role in pioneering a new model of care by building and managing Mercy's gold star-rated Epic electronic health record, conducting groundbreaking work in data analytics to improve patient care, and ensuring easy access to Mercy services through the MyMercy patient portal, our website, on-site systems, and more. MTS' hard work has paid off. We're proud to announce that MTS was named one of the Most Wired by CHIME. But that's not all. One of MTS' most important duties is ensuring the availability and security of patient health records. That's why we invested $60 million in building a state-of-the-art data center in Washington, Missouri, with fail-safe features that can withstand a variety of natural events, power or water interruptions, and even building failures. Plus, a second data center in Sunset Hills, Missouri, runs every system in parallel to ensure maximum uptime. At Mercy, we believe that better data leads to better care. That's why we've been collecting clinical data for more than a decade. MTS' experts use cutting-edge analytics tools to learn from that data, finding which processes and products lead to better patient experiences. By doing so, we have reduced mortality rates by 50% for patients with heart failure, pneumonia, and colectomy patients. We are also preventing more than 17,000 unnecessary blood transfusions every year and decreasing the time it takes to administer a diuretic to patients with heart failure by nearly three hours. At Mercy, we're committed to providing the best possible care to our patients. And with MTS' help, we're making great strides towards that goal. hashtag hashtag #Healthcare hashtag hashtag #ITJobs hashtag hashtag #DataScience hashtag hashtag #Jobs hashtag hashtag #Analytics https://lnkd.in/gDAi4X8s

Founder and Chief Consultant @ Insightful Intellect, LLC | Your Partner in Diverse and Efficient Clinical Trial Enrollment | Speaker | Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Missed Opportunity: This Vital Health Option Was Absent at the Resource Fair – Can You Guess What It Was? Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in my local community resource fair. It was an incredible experience to connect with dedicated professionals like social workers, nurses, and community health representatives. The fair showcased various essential services – from pediatric and cancer screenings to trauma support. Organizations like Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, Walmart, UNT Health Science Center, Cook Children's Health Care System, Texas Health Resources, Tarrant Area Food Bank, JPS Health Network were all represented, offering valuable resources. Yet, among this impressive array of services, one glaring omission was 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀. Clinical trials allow researchers to test new treatments that can improve health outcomes for everyone. Diverse participation in these trials is crucial to ensure that new treatments are effective for all populations. ✅We can significantly increase awareness and participation by building community partnerships. Let's bridge the healthcare gap and ensure everyone can access ALL their health options. Clinical trials offer a chance to contribute to medical breakthroughs while receiving potential health benefits. Logan Regional Medical Center, located in Logan, West Virginia, is crucial to keeping residents in this small community healthy from the moment they are born. At a time when maternal care is disappearing in rural areas, it has three labor suites and a nine-bed nursery. LRMC, along with other rural hospitals across the country, is a cornerstone of the community it serves. Faced with unique challenges, however, these hospitals are dwindling in number -- and proposals by some in Congress threaten to lower their numbers even more. Learn more about the crucial impact of these hospitals, and proposals to save them, from the Federation of American Hospitals: https://buff.ly/3MLyAMq
