Spirited Away-inspired water effect in After Effects 🌊 Check out this cool effect inspired by the legendary anime Spirited Away set up in After Effects by 2D Animator Seter MD. The creator noted that creating such effects is quite easy, saying "it's just about recognizing details, simplifying them applying the right effect to match the motion." Seter also released project files along with a video guide so you can learn more about the approach: https://lnkd.in/ge3My8sw #2dart #art #animation #2danimation #aftereffects #anime #stylizedart #ghibli #adobe

The lesson this type of animation teaches us? It's not the tool that matters, but the purpose. Amazing

This is so good. Only if you could add "Posterize Time" effect and set it at 12 fps it would look so much natural.

I saw this on Twitter. Interesting to see it here as well. As an AE animator, After Effects is capable of SO much! I honestly believe it is one of the most powerful programs and am proud to be user of such an amazing piece of software. I've come to realize that fractal patterns have a plethora of uses. Definitely going to study this more in After Effects and 3D programs. I saw a similar approach used in Blender. Amazing!

And to watch Disney's "The Emperor's New Groove", which they worked on at around the same time as "Spirited Away", there's simply no comparison.

I think the next thing on my bucketlist is to learn after effects

I'm not an expert on VFX, but i can tell you made a very solid effect that stick very closely on the inspiration.
