Tesseract the cube of eternity or insanity, who knows! Simulation done by pyro to particle in Houdini fx and compositing in Davinci Resolve. I have been teaching myself Houdini fx for two months, it is the most completed 3D software in my engineering logic. Procedural is the best way I have ever used for 3D softwares. Personal projects for me have always been about exploring and discovery, not being tied down to the original idea or concept, but allowing the "play" to guide the outcome. I've been working lately on spending time learning more FX-focused systems in Houdini, and have been having a lot of fun both in the challenge and also in the process. For me, while I also want to learn more and be more versatile as an artist, it's more about "needing" to explore. Recently I had a "Nightmare" project, I have faced a lot of technical difficulties regarding fluid simulations in C4D, X-particles solvers are totally fine, but to art direct them in a certain way it would be difficult if not impossible. I started learning Houdini 4 to 5 months ago, and I really understand why it is the industry standard in 3D workflow in VFX field. Houdini has empowered me to explore new realms of precise control, and I'm eager to continue honing my skills and pushing the limits of what's possible. Hey, guys:) I’d like to share my latest particle simulation project with all of you who love Demon Slayer as much as I do!😎#demonslayer This demo shows Tanjirou's Water breathing- the 2nd style plus. But I made it in a 3d. My method is to design curves with noise to simulate the path of the particles. I also added a volume channel to the render to get closer to the water feeling.
